Form and function combined – It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Porsche Cayenne is highly popular. edo competition Motorsport is now offering more power for the Porsche Cayenne GTS and an aerodynamics package that transforms this SUV into a true powerhouse with the alluring character of a sports car.

The Porsche Cayenne GTS provides the basis for the edo GTS. The figures send a clear message: The engine generates 450 horsepower (331 kW) and a maximum torque of 530 Nm (391 ft-lb) at 3,800 rpm. The sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes a scant 6.4 seconds and the top speed is an unbelievable 270 km/h (168 mph). This impressive performance is achieved thanks to new high-flow catalytic converters, performance air filter inserts and a new ECU calibration optimized on the dyno.

The edo GTS is also equipped with a new brake system. Huge six-piston fixed mono-block calipers clamp down on thicker and larger diameter brake rotors as well as upsized pads in the front. Rotor dimensions: 380 x 38 mm (15 x 1.5 inches).

For a matching appearance edo competition offers a sport suspension system adjustable in height, compression and rebound damping. The height adjustment range is TUV approved. There are 14 settings for compression damping while the rebound damping is continuously variable. The front and rear body height is set individually according to the customer’s wishes. Finishing off the look is a new hood featuring power domes and a new lower front skirt with 4 fog lights and mesh inserts.

Ideal road contact is provided by new 22 inch forged wheels with stainless steel outer rims: 10 x 22 inch with 295/30 ZR22 tires up front and 11 x 22 inch with 295/30 ZR22 in the rear. Custom-painted wheel centers are an option.

Ferrari 599GTB Fiorano by Project Kahn



The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is one of the few exotics rarely touched by aftermarket tuners but that hasn’t stopped Britain’s Project Kahn from releasing a new performance upgrade for it. Not wanting to alter the dramatic styling of the 599 significantly, developers have kept exterior mods to a minimum with only a mild styling kit and Kahn Design F1-X Carbon wheels making the cut – 20in up front and 21in in the rear.

Under the bonnet lies the standard 6.0L V12 engine with 612hp (456kW) and 448lb-ft (608Nm) of torque. Some minor modifications that are available for the car include a lowered sports suspension kit and high-flow sports exhaust.

Any tuner worth its salt must have a list of options for nearly every aspect of a car and Project Kahn doesn’t fail to deliver. On top of its basic package, customers can also opt for unique leather upholstery as well as a custom paint job.

TechArt Unveils GTstreet R based on Porsche 911 Turbo




TechArt continues its re-inventions of Porsche supercars. Just last spring TechArt presented the GTstreet RS, its specialised version of the Porsche 911 GT2. Now, its latest creation is based on the 911 Turbo which TechArt, located in the same region of Germany as Porsche, has turned into one impressive performer. As if the 911 Turbo wasn't one already.

The GTstreet R comes fitted with TechArt's performance kit TA097/T3, which sounds like something out of a science-fiction movie. What all those letter and numbers mean is 660 hp and a maximum torque of 860 Nm at 4,600 rpm for this re-imagined 911 Turbo. Coupled with Porsche's Tiptronic S transmission, it takes the GTstreet R a mere 3.4 seconds to reach 100km/h.

TechArt takes the 911 Turbo's standard 3.6 liter turbocharged engine and boosts its performance with new turbochargers, special intercoolers and a host of other technological tidbits that make this horse run a lot faster.

Top speed? How about an insane 345 km/h (214mph).

KICHERER CL 60 Coupé




One thing is for sure, a Mercedes CL is one of the most comfortable and largest coupés on the market. And those who will choose the CL 600 with V12 biturbo will even be able to take pleasure in something like sports car characteristics despite the giant’s opulent weight.

And should you care to provide the Super Benz’s sheer luxury with an extra dose of dynamic vitality, Kicherer has in stock what you are looking for.

The specialists from Lake Constance have redefined the CL with several new components – and baptised it CL 60.

Among other things, this reinterpretation includes a storming increase in performance from 517 hp to 570 hp and an improved torque resulting in 900 Nm.

Moreover, the vehicle has been provided with a high-performance rear axle equipped with a differential lock and a modified transmission control module assuring that the excessive powers will always be transformed into performance – whatever the situation.

Hamann Aston Martin V8 Vantage





”Form follows function“ – in this spirit, HAMANN perfectly co-ordinates the individual components of the aerodynamics kit with each other. The result is an impressive styling with an optimised airflow over the car silhouette and an additional output for increased bend speed.

The bow of the Aston Martin can be optionally equipped with a spoiler lip for the original front or enhanced with an entire front skirt. Between the front and rear side, the striking HAMANN side skirt attachments render an integrated design and give the Vantage a lowered and more stretched look. In order to reduce the lifting forces at the back axle, HAMANN technicians developed a shapely spoiler which can be fitted on the rear lid and enhanced with a matching three-part rear diffuser. The latter optically extends the side skirts downwards and skilfully enhances the two end pipes of the HAMANN sport exhaust system. Basically, the customer can choose from two materials for the body components. HAMANN produces its entire aerodynamics programme in fibre glass or optionally in matt carbon.


One of the technical highlights in the tuning programme is the new three-part HAMANN light alloy wheel named EDITION RACE. The forged wheel combines both sportiness as well as elegance. The black varnished rim star and the titanium bolting emphasise the dynamism of the wheel, the highly-polished rim flange on the other hand renders a noble appearance. HAMANN offers the wheel/tyre combination measuring 9,0Jx21 inches with 245/30ZR21 tyres at the front and 10,5Jx21 rims with tyres measuring 295/25ZR21 at the back for 8,540 ˆ. Lorinser Mercedes SL




As early as back in the Fifties, a major car magazine wrote: "The Mercedes SL is the most cultivated and at the same time most fascinating among the sports cars of our time". With the most recent facelift from Stuttgart, the myth is more alive than ever. Sportservice Lorinser has reset the jewel among sports cars: the aerodynamic body parts of the Swabian vehicle customiser are fascinatingly reminiscent of the original racing car character, when the letters SL still stood for "Sport Light".


The front is shaped by a new spoiler bumper that is characterised by three giant openings with racing grill inserts as well as a blade shaped spoiler hung below in the middle. The integrated end-to-end lip flows seamlessly into the widely flared Lorinser fender. Its slanted, larger air inlets represent the aura of the original even more strongly than the already successful series version. Additional distinctive elements of the side line are the new side skirts that are also characterised in the rear part by large air openings. In addition, its contours take in the swing of the doors and bring the SL optically nearer the ground in combination with Lorinser's lowering. In addition, the sports car is even a touch more connected with the ground when it comes to extreme driving situations and isn't put off by any bend. The outstanding driving qualities also include wide tyres and remarkable light-alloy wheels. The RS 9 wheel is full of energy, and this central theme also applies especially to the design of the rear of the vehicle: while the series model tends to appear rather simple here, the Lorinser spoiler bumper draws a great deal of power from its strong contours. The observer here not only immediately notices the diffuser inset with sporty grill, but also the sculpturally moulded semi-gondolas. They house the end tips of the exhaust system with their four openings. It's clear that the Roadster not only produces hot air, but is also developing a gigantic forward thrust. Drivers that aren't satisfied with potent series engines can soon look forward to an optimisation from Lorinser engineers. However, a more sporty and elegant interior can be ordered there already.

Mercedes CLK 63 AMG ‘Black Widow’ by Vorsteiner





Straight out of the box the Mercedes Benz CLK 63 AMG Black Series is already one of the most extreme production cars on the planet, leaving others in its wake thanks to its 507hp (378kW) and 465lb-ft (630Nm) V8 engine. Despite its stock supercar performance, American tuner Vorsteiner has now released an even more performance-focused version of it.

Ditching the car’s Black Series designation in favor of Vorsteiner’s ‘Black Widow’ nameplate, the tuning firm’s engineers having taken the entire car to task, adding modifications to both the exterior styling and interior mechanicals.

The list of modifications include a new lightweight dry carbon-fiber front spoiler and a more aggressive replacement deck lid spoiler. The combination of these elements has been found to improve down force and aerodynamics during high speed tests, with the car easily reaching top speeds of over 320km/h. All the parts are a direct bolt onto the factory body panels without any modifications required.

As for mechanical upgrades, Vorsteiner insists that its engineers are still working on the car and plans to release even more upgrades further down the track. Some of the minor modifications planned include an ECU retune and the addition of high flow exhaust manifolds and sport catalysts.

Brabus Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG



The BRABUS engine specialists have developed the B63 S performance kit specifically for the fast-revving engine of the Mercedes C 63 AMG. It consists of free-flow high-performance metal catalysts, sport air filters and newly programmed engine electronics with custom mapping for ignition and injection. Together these components result in an increase in power output from 457 hp (450 bhp) / 336 kW to 530 hp (523 bhp) / 390 kW. Peak torque grows from 600 Nm to 650 Nm (442 to 479 lb-ft).

Also part of the conversion is the BRABUS Vmax unit, available in two versions for top speeds of 300 or 315 km/h (188 or 197 mph). Acceleration performance also improves with the added power: The sprint from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) is shortened from 4.5 to 4.1 seconds; 200 km/h (124 mph) is reached after 13.1 seconds, down from 14.5 seconds for the production car.

The impressive top speed of the BRABUS-tuned C 63 AMG necessitates precise modifications to tires, suspension and brakes. The electronically limited top speed of 315 km/h (197 mph) is possible thanks to 19-inch high-performance tires from Pirelli or YOKOHAMA. The tires in size 235/35 ZR 19 in front and in size 265/30 ZR 19 on the rear axle are mounted on multi-piece BRABUS Monoblock VI, E or S light-alloy wheels. The front axle features these wheels in size 8.5Jx19, the rear axle in size 9.5Jx19.

The large wheels provide the necessary space for the BRABUS high-performance brake system. It features vented and grooved 380 x 37 millimeter (15 x 1.45 inches) brake discs and 12-piston aluminum fixed calipers on the front axle. The rear axle stops with 360 x 28 millimeter (14.2 x 1.1 inches) discs and 6-piston aluminum fixed calipers. These high-tech brakes can keep even the enormous performance of a tuned C 63 safely in check at all times.

The height-adjustable BRABUS coil-over suspension features gas-pressure shocks with ten selectable settings each for bound and rebound. It offers a sporty yet comfortable ride as well as agile handling with large safety reserves.

The palette of exclusive BRABUS accessories for the interior of the C-Class sedan ranges from scuff plates with illuminated BRABUS logo to the ‘BRABUS Race’ shifter.

Upon customer request the company-own upholstery shop creates especially exclusive BRABUS interiors crafted from a select combination of especially soft yet durable BRABUS Mastik leather and Alcantara.

BMW M3 E92 by Vorsteiner





While German tuners generally tend to stick with a single marque, tinkering with the likes of BMWs, Audis, Mercedes or Porsches to the exclusion of others, American tuner Vorsteiner works with all three marques, and its latest creation has tuners from around the world sitting up and taking notice. Borrowing inspiration from a now-neglected slice of BMW’s own factory-produced special-edition lineup, the Vorsteiner car shows what could have been.

Working with the new BMW M3, Vorsteiner has attempted to recreate the flavor of BMW CSL models, which had extra power and lighter kerb weights to provide a more exhilarating driving experience. This Vorsteiner creation replaces some of the original parts with carbon-fiber replacements, and along with a titanium exhaust that shaves weight and opens up the sound, wider wheels and more power the Vorsteiner M3 is expected to be a more engaging drive than the standard M3. The V8 found in the standard M3 has had its engine mapping altered to squeeze out an extra 40hp (29kW), raising it to 460hp (343kW) total, while torque has also been improved to 328lb-ft (445Nm), up from the standard 295lb-ft (400Nm). The electronic speed limiter has been removed, allowing the Vorsteiner M3 to reach almost 200mph (320km/h).
Vorsteiner is also planning a 500hp version in the near future, which should take the M3 beyond the 200mph mark.

Wald bodykit for the BMW 3-series



Tuners have been known to go to extravagant lengths to create a ‘unique’ interpretation of a vehicle, and German-car tuners are no exception, even if the company doing the tuning is Japanese. From over-the-top bodykits to insane amounts of power, no stone is left unturned. Wald’s 3-series bodykit is something of a change of pace, then, although its dramatic looks definitely let onlookers know this is not a stock BMW.

Available in white (pictured) and gun-metal grey, the Wald E90 Sport Line 3-series appearance kit features side-skirts, a trunk-lid spoiler, a completely reworked front and rear appearance, plus four fog lamps. At the front, a RDX RACEDESIGN front spoiler bumper “GTI-Five“ for 399 euros renders an impressively sportive appearance. Its middle part has been designed to enable the application of a contrasting colour which allows an even more individual look. ABT Sportsline Audi Q5



The ABT Q5 is impressing, harmonic and superior from every angle. The front skirt with the integrated underride protection finds its equivalent in the rear skirt, which, in a very elegant way, also hides the tow bar extendable for use. The mighty front grille, the fender extensions and the dynamic door strip attachments form a unit. The rear wing, the 4-pipe-rear muffler and the BR wheel rim in size 20-inch also fit in optimally into the elegant overall picture. The ABT Q5 is indeed a car for all occasions: No matter whether in front of a luxury hotel or a beer garden, this vehicle fits in everywhere.

The Q5 follows its bigger brother from Kempten, the AS7, suit: the "S" in "SUV" means "particularly sporty". A genuine ABT always has significantly more power, even more so when all four wheels are powered. The two diesel engines sparkle with energy: thanks to ABT Power, the 2.0 TDI delivers potent 190hp (140kW) instead of 170hp (125kW). B&B Audi RS 6




The Siegen-based Audi expert B&B, perfects the actuel version of the A6 – the RS6 V10 Turbo. Performance values, which normally are preserved by absolut supersportscars, can be reached in 4 different stages (650, 670, 700 and 715 hp). The acceleration 0-100km/h is lowered to an enormous value of 3.6 seconds in the final stage while Vmax level is on 320km/h. To reach these performance values, B&B mounts a special race exhaust system with high performance racing catalyst as well as an electronical tuning, which is perfectly harmonizing with these components. Additional to this, the air intake system and air cooling system gets optimized.

In order to get better exhaust values and a more sporty sound, B&B offers various sport exhaust systems in different sizes with optionally mounted tailpipes in shiny, matte black and carbon version.

GeigerCars.de Dodge Viper





Let’s start with its capacity. The tried and true motto – engine capacity can only be replaced by more capacity – still holds true. Currently its capacity lies at 8.4 liters. The engine possesses ten cylinders which all have an inner diameter of exactly 10.34cm. With a deviation of 10.06cm the engine now produces a horsepower of 612 and a torque of 560lb-ft (760Nm) by means of crankshaft and transmission on the rear wheels. This level of strength required modifications to the engine which were carried out by Chrysler Tuning’s Street and Racing Technology Division with the help of McLaren Performance Technologies. The engine itself has been installed lengthwise and is the proud owner of 356 T6 aluminum alloy cylinder barrels, which have been molded from one single block.

Techniques for optimized cooling of the engine block such as reinforced partitions, more efficient water jackets, new aluminum cylinder heads with CNC formed combustion chambers, larger valves, variable and electronically monitored valve control, individual spark coils for each cylinder, platinum spark plugs, a larger oil pump and an adapted race car engine style oil induction system are just some of the additions that were made. These modifications allow the powerhouse to reach 100hp and 37lb-ft (50Nm) more torque than Chrysler’s Viper now on offer in Germany. An exhaust manifold not only provides a more efficient cleansing of the engine but is in line with the strict US emission standards.


The new higher performance two-disc clutch produced in Germany not only separates engine and transmission. It guarantees more comfort – that well known “jerking” at lower speeds occurring in former models is a thing of the past, giving the 2008 Viper an impressive level of stability for daily use (especially in city traffic). The power of the engine comes from a 6-gear Tremec T56 manual transmission mounted on the back axel. The patented Dana Hydra-Lok limited slip differential is speed-sensing and ensures that this superpower can effectively take to the streets as “slip free” as possible. Supported by its two 19 inch wheels with their 345/30 ZR 19 ultra high performance tires, the Viper rages from 0 to 62mph (100km/h) in 3.6 seconds and its enormous kick keeps on kicking up to 202mph or 325km/h.

The undercarriage has been overhauled at the factory in Auburn Hills. Years of experience from the tradition of race car driving influence its design. The 2008 Viper’s most significant features are: independent wheel suspension with double, aluminum, triangular transverse control arms both above and below on the front and rear axles, gas pressurized shock absorbers, coil springs and new anti-sway bars. With these new measures the often criticized nervous “swaying” of the rear is now a thing of the past.


Making sure that this power and driving performance remains in check requires no special formula, all it takes is a Brembo braking system with brake disks designed for tires the size of a compact car: 14 inches and if necessary the approximately 4.5m long dazzling snake can be equipped with anti-lock brakes. The ride comes to a complete standstill after 100ft (30.5m) when braking at a speed of 60mph (96.5km/h). The Viper 2008 GeigerCars.de Import is and remains the ultimate vehicle for active drivers.
